Trinidad and Tobago’s weather: Hot and dusty
Look out for hot conditions and Saharan dust in today’s weather forecast.
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service said there is still a level of Saharan dust in the atmosphere, which can affect people with any respiratory issues.
The Met Office said today’s weather would be predominantly sunny and hazy with windy conditions despite a few brisk showers in hilly areas.
Temperatures may go as high as 33 degrees Celsius, with a Heat Index of 36 degrees Celsius.
Tonight would be hazy with a gentle breeze and the odd overnight shower.
The Met Office warned of gusty winds, especially near showers.
The public is also advised that there is a moderate amount of Saharan dust in the area, and to take adequate precautions.

Seas are moderate with waves up to two metres in open waters and below one metre in sheltered areas.
