The Ministry of Health has announced that Trinidad and Tobago has a supply of 10,000 test kits for COVID-19. T&T previously shared its supply with other member states of the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA)
Line Minister, Terrence Deyalsingh, made the announcement at the government’s daily virtual media briefing today.
“In the country we now have 10,000 PCR test kits for the sole use of Trinidad and Tobago. 10,000 as we ramp up in a serious way, our testing capability,” he said.
He also revealed that consistent with the Ministry’s 10am update, they have tested 792 people in the community surveillance exercise for COVID-19. All tests returned negative results.
