Curepe Interchange Opened

If you’re heading East from Port of Spain on the highway, the traffic lights by the Central Market will now be the last one you encounter until UWI, in St Augustine.

The traffic signals located at the Curepe interchange were taken down on Wednesday as the Interchange was opened.

Ian Wason explains.

Counting the chicken before they are hatched!
Typical of the all the govt in power on Trinidad post Dr Eric William time in office.
I wonder how long the Curepe interchange will last before we see cracks and serious design flaws in the construction. Is it the cheap, corrupt shoddy work of the Chinese, Trinidad loves to commission!
No consideration made for the ecosystem and natural greening landscaping that is so necessary to sustain wildlife, prevent flodding and clean the atmosphere. The Chinese would never make this mistake when constructing in their own land. Successive govts in power in Trinidad &Tobagi have no vision, forsight or interest in preserving this beautiful island for generation to come. Everything constructed in Trinidad post Dr Eric William time in power and in the past 20 years and more recent has been superficial and shoddy workmanship; with no though or plans for the preservation of floura, fauna and our wildlife.
Trinidadian seem to be sleep walking into disaster.
